Wild Cave Tours
Wild cave tours provide the more adventurous an opportunity to go beyond the standard walking tour and explore undeveloped parts of our cavern. Our expert guides will lead you on your 4-hour trip through more than a mile of chambers and passageways that require some strength and agility to negotiate. Explorers of all ages are welcome. At the end of your journey, you will emerge from the cave covered in mud, but will be rewarded with the experience of a lifetime.

Passageway names such as The Birth Canal, The Squeeze Box, and The Drain provide clues as to some of the adventure in store for you in the wild cave area. There are also chambers, with spectacular formations, nearly as large as those in the show cave.

No special equipment is necessary. Beyond your own clothing and boots, we will outfit your group with helmets, lights, kneepads, and gloves. A light snack and water are provided during the tour and your guide will capture your experience on film, from the start to the muddy end. We have showers available to get cleaned up afterwards and we will provide a hot picnic lunch for everyone on the trip at the end. Each person will receive a set of photos of the expedition on a CD at no extra charge.

Wild cave tours are offered year-round, but reservations are required; so call ahead to schedule. Tour rates for small groups are $79/person with a 2-person minimum. Contact us for special rates for large groups or more information.

You will need to be here at 10 AM and the tour itself takes about 4 to 5 hours but plan on being here for at least 6 hours.
